What Do You Think?

For a while now it has become apparent to me that everyone needs a little interior love.  And if by love, I mean design advice.  I am constantly asked questions from all of my friends, family and colleges about what they should do.  Some people (like my parents), I have to force into submission.  My mothers favorite thing to tell me is "it's too dark Jason", usually referring to paint colors.  However miraculously after the colors is painted, the room "looks really good".

My friends always seem to have a question as well.  Any time I stop by, the immediate conversation is . . "So what do you think about. . "  To me, this is great.  People respect me enough to ask for my opinion.  They like what I have done somewhere else and trust that I can help them make their space look good to.  They know it doesn't have to cost a lot, because I constantly tell them so.  I am frugal when it comes to design.  Always look for the discounts and deals.  There is no reason to spend more than you have to.  There are plenty of other things in the world that will compete for your money tomorrow.

I have offered my advice, given many a free makeover, and traveled the world to keep inspiration flowing.  Now it's your turn to tell me what you think.  I want to ask you a few questions that will help shape the way I do business.  Think of it as a survey.  Everyone spends at least 10 minutes on those other Facebook surveys about your favorite soup and how you take your steak and what community college you went to before going to the good one.  So tell me. . 9. Do you want to paint your apartment (if applicable) but your landlord doesn’t understand that white walls are not inviting unless you’re in the psychological treatment wing?

10. Where is your favorite place in the area you would want to live (town / city) if you could?

11. Have you ever posted a design question online for help?

12. What would you pay for someone to come in and help you decorate your apartment?

13. What is the best feature of your place?

14. What is the worst feature of your place?

15. If you could change one thing where you live, what would it be?

16. Name a store that you would most likely purchase new furniture from, if you had the money?

17. What is the most interesting building in Rochester?

18. What is the most bizarre area of Rochester?

19. Would you like it if you could hire someone for a flat rate for one day to redesign a room?

20. What are some items you have looked for around town, but just can't find what you like?
